Hey, I’m Beiming Zhang

I’m a CS master’s student at Rice University, where I study computer systems. Before that I did my undergrad at ShanghaiTech.

What I’m up to:

Writing code
Doing LeetCode, which I really don’t like; solving all the LeetCode hard problems doesn’t make one a good programmer
Climbing rocks

Thanks for stopping by. My friends inspired me to build my website and start writing. Go check out theirs:

Amitav is a friend from Cloudflare. They build A LOT of cool stuff. They own a System76 laptop, which I thought was very cool. They use Arch, btw.
Chloe is a friend from Cloudflare. She’s really good at computer systems yet surprisingly doesn’t come with any of the annoying nerd bits. She’s also living proof against my brother’s claim that short people can’t climb.
Sky is a friend from Cloudflare. He’s very knowledgeable, has tons of interesting ideas, and is a big fan of jazz. He and Chloe are the only Brown people I know, so based on this sampling, I’m convinced Brown is full of awesome people.
